Storyville Entertainment
Storyville Entertainment, Inc. is a full-service production company dedicated to creating top-tier content for television, film, branded and multimedia outlets. We pride ourselves on being great storytellers, constantly raising the bar to create the most original, entertaining, and impactful productions possible.
Storyville was launched in 2013 by Emmy-nominated producer Betsy Schechter who created and Executive Produced A&E’s hit series Paranormal State. Prior to founding Storyville, Betsy was co-president of Picture Shack Entertainment where she oversaw and Executive Produced numerous television series, including National Geographic’s Abandoned, OWN’s Staten Island Law, Discovery ID’s Most Likely To…, A&E’s Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal, Animal Planet’s Saved and The Haunted, and MTV’s scripted series Warren The Ape. In addition to producing highly-rated reality and docuseries, Betsy’s branded efforts include the successful Match.com national commercial campaign, as well as online branded content for JEEP, KLONDIKE, THE GAP, DON JULIO and GLAMOUR MAGAZINE.
At Storyville, Betsy brings together a team of seasoned network executives, producers and directors who have developed, produced and supervised thousands of hours of programming in all genres — from reality to documentaries, TV movies to feature films, multimedia, and commercials, including major branded campaigns. Storyville’s team is currently in production on a music-based documentary series for MTV International and in development on numerous non-scripted and scripted series for A&E, History, TNT, and MTV. In addition they are collaborating on a scripted series with Jason Blum, the producer of the successful movie franchise “Paranormal Activity”.
